Buy Gifts At Paramus Catholic High School Craft Show PARAMUS, N.J. -- More than 135 exhibitors will be at the Paramus Catholic High School Fall Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov.15.Some of the items on display will be painted glass, fiber, hand crafted jewelry, photography, county and holiday crafts, florals, apparel for women and girls, folk art, personalized ornaments, soaps, candles, inlaid wood cutting boards and turned wood pens, pet items, olive oils and chocolate.  Admission is $3. Paramus Catholic High School is at 425 Paramus Road, Paramus.

Darien Pays Tribute To Veterans DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien's Monuments and Ceremonies Commission partnered with Darien VFW Post 6933 and conducted a Veterans Day ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Circle located in front of the Darien Town Hall.The ceremony was held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11. Monuments and Ceremonies Commission Chairman Phil Kraft served as Master of Ceremonies. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by retired Naval Commander Peter Kenyon.

Man Arrested On Drug Charges After Reckless Driving In Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A 36-year-old man was arrested on weapon and drug charges after nearly crashing into six parked cars, said Bridgeport Police. On Monday, Nov. 9, police officers observed a vehicle driven by Hatim Jaoulane failing to stop at the intersection of Benham Avenue and Coleman Street and taking an abrupt turn onto Benham Avenue heading west, police said. Home Heating Help Available To Rockland County Residents NEW CITY, N.Y. -- Rockland County Executive Ed Day today announced that families with low incomes can apply for heating assistance this winter through New York's Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) starting on Monday, Nov. 16. HEAP, which is overseen by the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA), is a federally-funded program that provides up to $625 for eligible households to pay for energy costs in order to keep homes warm during the winter.  The benefit is dependent on income and family size, and payments go directly to the utility company. Darien's Middlesex Middle School Pays Tribute To Veterans DARIEN, Conn. -- Middlesex Middle School students in Darien celebrated Veterans' Day at a special assembly featuring six veterans who shared their experiences through stories, photos and videos. The celebration opened with the school's Camerata Singers’ rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner," followed by a Veterans' Day video, guest speakers, “I am an American” reading by several students, and the Taps bugle call to end the program.
