Senior Moments Returns To Darien Library With Adult Petting Zoo
DARIEN, Conn. -- Senior Moments, a monthly coffee and conversation program designed specifically for seniors, will meet at the Darien Library on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 3 p.m for an adult petting zoo.
Learn about the habitat, conservation, and eating habits of seven different animals. At the end of the lecture, meet up close and personal a kangaroo, rabbit, tortoise, snake, bearded dragon, potbellied pig, and chinchilla.

CLIFTON, N.J. -- Stasia (Wdowiak) Zurichin, 81, of Clifton, died on Sunday, Nov. 8. Born in Pinebush, N.Y., she lived in Passaic and Wallington before moving to Clifton. Zurichin was a homemaker and was a parishioner of St. John Kanty Roman Catholic Church, Clifton.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert P. Zurichin and a brother, Eugene Wdowiak.

PASSAIC, N.J. -- Fannie Mary (Di Biase) Rosta, of Passaic, died Nov. 7. She was 94.Born in Rosebank, Staten Island, N.Y., Rosta resided in the Passaic-Clifton area for most of her life.
She was a legal secretary. She was a parishioner of St. Stephen R.C. Church in Passaic, where she was active in various church organizations. She also had been active with the Nicholas Martini Foundation.

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. -- Mary Teresa Hemmer (Bailey), of Woodcliff Lake, formerly of Paramus, passed away Monday, Nov. 9.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Hemmer.

CLIFTON, N.J. -- Kenneth J. Shedlock, a Clifton resident, formerly of Lodi, died Nov. 7. He was 63.Shedlock was a C.A.T. Scan technician, formerly for St. Joseph Medical Center in Wayne. He was a U.S> Navy veteran, a member of the Lodi Fire Department and a former member of the Boys' & Girls' Club of Clifton inducted into their "Alumni Hall of Fame" in 2012.

TOTAWA, N.J. -- Lucille (Longo) Riffel, of Totowa, died Nov. 8. She was 81. She spent all her live in Paterson before moving to Totowa in 2001. She was a self-employed beautician for most of her life before retiring.
Riffel was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Riffel Sr.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- Armand Restivo, a Washinton Township resident, died Nov. 5, after a short illness. He was 98.Restivo was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., volunteered in the Civilian Conservation Corps, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves in Korea.

CLIFTON, N.J. -- Carmen Onorevole, a Clifton resident, died Nov. 5. He was 74. Born July 29, 1941, to Carmen and Viola Onorevole, he grew up in Clifton, spent most of his life in Nutley and moved to Lakeland, Fla. in 1998.
Onorevole sponsored and inspired many during his 32-year journey of sobriety.
