Three Croton-Harmon Staffers Honored For 25 Years Of Service CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. --Three Croton-Harmon staffers were honored for giving 25 years of service to the district.Two Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School teachers, second-grade teacher Phyllis Carr and physical education teacher Robin Cooke, and Kelly Maloney, Principal, CET, were commended by the Croton-Harmon Board of Education and central administration in a May 17 ceremony.

The students lesson integrated science, math, communication skills, arts, and social studies through hands-on activities, such as preparing the eggs, setting up the incubator, recording progress, turning eggs, and candling.  Candling involves shining a bright light into the egg, illuminating its contents to learn which of the chickens’ eggs are fertile and will hatch into baby chicks. A Veterans Tribute Ceremony is set for 9:30 a.m. at Eastchester Monument Park. All veterans, organizations and residents are encouraged to attend.
