Wilton Finance Board Endorses Capital Projects WILTON, N.Y. -- The board of finance in Wilton agreed to a pair of bonded capital projects the Board of Selectmen proposed for the 2017 fiscal year and will recommend them for approval at an annual town meeting May 3, said the Wilton Bulletin. The projects are the final year of five-year road restoration project costing $1.8 million and the $650,000 replacement of Fujitani Field, said the report. Yankee Mariano Rivera Addresses Latino Youth Conference At New Rochelle HS NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- New York Yankees legend Mariano Rivera delivered the keynote address at the 4th Annual Latino Youth Leadership Conference at New Rochelle High School. The conference drew Latino teens from 14 high schools across New York City, Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Sullivan, and Nassau counties.  Students in the New Rochelle High School's Hispanic Culture Club planned and coordinated the event. Rivera's address explored cultural identity, leadership, college and career planning, and the Latino vote. He also led a one-hour discussion with parents.
