Winter Weather Advisory Issued In Fairfield County FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The National Weather Services has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow, freezing rain, and sleet this afternoon into Monday evening in Northern Fairfield County. Snow and ice, with snow accumulations of up to an inch is possible, along with a trace of ice into early evening. The Advisory is in effect until 9 p.m. Monday evening. This could impact the evening commute making driving hazardous, with slippery conditions on untreated roadways and walkways, as well as overpasses. Connecticut Gas Prices Rise A Nickel This Week FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Gas prices in Connecticut are up an average of a nickel over last week, according to AAA Northeast.The previous week, those same prices rose by a dime, said the report. Whatever the case, average prices in the state and nationally continue to rise. Monday's prices average $2.15, up 5 cents since last week and 29 cents since last month.
