Winter Weather Advisory Issued In Fairfield County FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The National Weather Services has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow, freezing rain, and sleet this afternoon into Monday evening in Northern Fairfield County. Snow and ice, with snow accumulations of up to an inch is possible, along with a trace of ice into early evening. The Advisory is in effect until 9 p.m. Monday evening. This could impact the evening commute making driving hazardous, with slippery conditions on untreated roadways and walkways, as well as overpasses. Strong Arm Robbery Suspects Sought By Police In Greenwich Attack GREENWICH, Conn. -- A man in Greenwich was assaulted and robbed by three men with a gun Saturday night, according to police. The alleged assault took place at approximately at 10:30 p.m. on Railroad Avenue, police said. The 38-year-old victim told police he was walking east on Hamilton Avenue when he saw three individuals loitering on Hamilton near Stone Avenue, according to police. Connecticut Gas Prices Rise A Nickel This Week FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Gas prices in Connecticut are up an average of a nickel over last week, according to AAA Northeast.The previous week, those same prices rose by a dime, said the report. Whatever the case, average prices in the state and nationally continue to rise. Monday's prices average $2.15, up 5 cents since last week and 29 cents since last month. Norwalk Police Launch Distracted Driving Campaign NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Police Department is partnering with the Connecticut Highway Safety Office as part of National Distracted Driving Awareness Month to crack down on drivers who choose to ignore Connecticut’s mobile phone laws, said police. The campaign began Monday and will run until Saturday, April 30. Westport Mother Arrested After Toddlers Are Found Wandering On Post Road WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Westport mother has been arrested after her two young children were found wandering alone on the Post Road, according to police.Police charged Natalie Bonny, 33, with two counts of risk of injury to a child in connection with the March 29 incident, said police.
