She is active with the North Salem Seniors, having served as first vice-president, and North Salem Historical Society, for which she served as a trustee and remains secretary. She was also supervisor of the Hudson Valley Teachers Credit Union. VanScoy emigrated from England to North Salem in 1951. Tiled Mural Graces Hallway At Victoria Soto School In Stratford STRATFORD, Conn. -- The Victoria Soto School in Stratford has a new tiled mural to grace its hallway thanks to the efforts of many, including students, local residents and members of Victoria Soto's family, according to the Stratford Star. The group worked on the 60-foot mural on Saturday, an abstract painting depicting a beach a dawn made out of cracked tile pieces, the Stratford Star reported.
