Amurri was born on March 15, 1985, in New York City, to Italian director Franco Amurri and American actress Susan Sarandon. She attended Friends Seminary (Manhattan) for middle school, and graduated from St. Ann's School in Brooklyn, N.Y., and from Brown University in Providence, R.I., in 2007, majoring in Italian studies.

Police Still Seek Area Woman Who Went Missing 30 Years Ago
The disappearance of a Connecticut woman remains unsolved since she went missing in 1985 after disturbances with an ex-boyfriend, James "Purple" Aaron," who was charged with kidnapping, and served prison time in connection with the case, according to police in Norwalk, Conn.
April Grisanti has been missing since the last disturbance between her and Aaron, which occurred on Jan. 31, 1985, at 11:30 p.m. at Anthony's Bar, 174 Main St., according to Norwalk police.
Just after midnight on Feb. 1, Grisanti went across the street to use a pay phone to call for a ride, police said.

World War II Veterans' Service Commended In Monroe Ceremony
MONROE, Conn. -- Five World War II veterans were recognized in the "Living Heroes Tribute" at the senior center in Monroe on Saturday, March 5, an event the Connecticut Fallen Heroes Foundation arranged, said the Monroe Courier.
Jack Young and Arthur Ludlejian, both of Monroe, and Shelton residents, Franklin “Bud” Beattie, John Barbuscak and Leroy Glover were honored according to the Monroe Courier.
They were given citations from the U.S. Senate and Connecticut General Assembly, along with gifts from the foundation, the Monroe Courier reported.
