Frank T. McKenna Jr., 86, Former Councilman, Waldwick Mayor
WALDWICK, N.J. -- Former Waldwick Mayor Frank T. McKenna Jr., of Waldwick, died Saturday, Jan. 2. He was 86.
McKenna was born in City Island, N.Y., and lived in Waldwick for more than 61 years, raising his family.
He served in many public offices, including the Waldwick Board of Education, Waldwick Planning Board and Waldwick Zoning Board.
McKenna was elected as a councilman several times, serving from 1976-82 and 1999 to 2004.
He was elected mayor in 1984, serving until 1987.

Stamford Assault Suspect Charged With Burglary After Fleeing Into Apartment
STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man was charged with burglary after he ran into a stranger's Stamford apartment while fleeing officers after assaulting his girlfriend Jan. 1, the Stamford Advocate reported.The incident began when the man, identified as Thomas Hutchinson, hit his girlfriend in a cab, then continued the assault at her Stamford apartment, according to the Advocate.
The woman texted a friend, who called police, the Advocate said.
