RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. -- The century-old sewer system in Ridgefield Park will be brought into compliance with federal and state environmental requirements, says the village's Board of Commissioners.The task has begun under the oversight of Department of Public Works Superintendent Alan O’Grady. Fake 'Malloy For President' Pages Appear On Social Media
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Even though fake social media pages appear on Facebook and Twitter that make satire of his liberal ideals, Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is not running for president, says the Connecticut Post.On Twitter the newspaper said "Malloy for President" (@PresidentMalloy) turned up on the internet Monday. Cortlandt Man Who Failed To Stay In Lane Charged With DWI
CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged a Cortlandt man with driving while intoxicated in a routine traffic stop Sunday, police said.Police charged 25-year-old Gary M. Carbone Jr. with the misdemeanor after stopping him on Main Street for allegedly failing to maintain his designated lane of travel, police said. An investigation allegedly found him to be intoxicated at the time of the stop, according to police. Slippery Roads Cause New Paltz Collision
NEW PALTZ, N.Y. -- Four people wound up in the hospital because of a Tuesday morning collision in New Paltz that police attribute to slippery conditions, according to Time Warner Cable News, Hudson Valley.The crash occurred about 9:30 a.m. on State Route 32 near Cameo Lake Road, the story says. EASTON/REDDING, Conn. -- The Joel Barlow High School debate team earned top marks Saturday, in discussing the question of whether parents have the right to opt their kids out of standardized testing, according to the Easton Courier.
