Blind Salvation Army Bell Ringer Attacked At Route 119 Smash Burger
GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Police are investigating what they said was an assault on a legally blind Salvation Army bell ringer inside a Route 119 restaurant Saturday afternoon.Greenburgh Police responded at around 3 p.m. to Smash Burger at 49 Tarrytown Road to a report of a fight in progress, they said.
The victim was standing on line along with Juan Rodriguez, 30, of Valhalla, and Audrianna Wignal, 21, of Mount Vernon, a friend of Rodriquez, when Rodriguez accused the victim of cutting the line, according to police.

John Patchen, 78, Of Norwalk
NORWALK, Conn. -- John J. Patchen, of Norwalk, died Friday, Dec. 18, at Norwalk Hospital after a long illness. He was 78.Patchen was the husband for 56 years of Marie (Antoinette) Passarelli Patchen.
He was born in Norwalk on Jan. 16, 1937, the son of James J. Patchen Sr. and Elvira Tuozzola Patchen, and has lived there all of his life.
Patchen was a graduate of Fairfield Prep, Class of 1955, and Fairfield University, Class of 1959.
He was a self-employed independent title examiner. Patchen enjoyed sports, reading, music, animals and his family.

Police Pursue Armed, Dangerous Man, Accomplice Last Seen In Area
CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- A Cortlandt man who allegedly is wanted for menacing with a firearm and for outstanding warrants in New York and South Carolina is being sought by New York State Police, according to police.
George J. Foster, 33, is described as a white male, 5 feet, 6 inches, and approximately 200 pounds, police said.
He was last seen on the 200 block of Locust Avenue in the Town of Cortlandt early Tuesday morning at about 3:30 a.m., according to police.
