FORT LEE, N.J. -- There will be a Sinatra Birthday Celebration Fort Lee Film Commission Fundraising Dinner at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12 at Napoli Restaurant, 116 Main St., Fort Lee. Laurie Sutton, 61, Somers-Area Native
SOMERS, N.Y. -- Laurie Sutton died Friday, Oct. 23 from injuries sustained in a bicycling accident in Eastham, Cape Cod, Mass. She was 61.Sutton was a native of the Somers/Katonah area, born Feb. 8, 1954 to Rose and Angelo Saracelli, the youngest of their three children. She married Anthony Sutton in 1974, and they had two children together. She was an active person who loved being outdoors, reading and gardening. DANBURY, Conn. -- Margaret M. Tanner (Peggy), a longtime resident of New Rochelle, N.Y., died Monday, Oct. 26 in her home in Danbury. She was 86. Tanner was born Sept. 10, 1929, in the Bronx, N.Y., to Irish immigrants Denis and Minnie (Daly) Hegarty. She moved back to Ireland as a young girl, where she grew up helping to operate the family business and moved on to nursing school in England before returning to the United States. Southard was predeceased by his mother, Maureen Southard, and grandparents, William and Elizabeth Southard. Southard was born and raised in Tuckahoe and graduated from Tuckahoe High School. Stamford Police Seek Man Who Threatened To Shoot Child While Robbing Mom
STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police are looking for a suspect seen on a video who attempted to rob a woman and threatened to harm her 4-year-old child, police said. An armed suspect approached the woman and attempted to rob her at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 17 near South Pacific Street and Woodland Place, according to police. During the attempted robbery, he threatened to shoot the child, police said. After the incident, the suspect ran east on Woodland Place, police said. Anyone who recognizes the man in the video is asked to call the Stamford Police Department's detective bureau at (203) 977-4417.
