Peter R. Jones, 57, Of Rye RYE, N.Y. -- Peter Robert Jones, of Rye, died Thursday, Oct. 15 from cancer. He was 57. Jones was born in the Bronx, N.Y., in 1958 and grew up in Old Bridge and Northvale, N.J. He later lived in White Plains, where he met his future wife, Diane Gasser, before moving to Rye in 1998. Jones shared his love of travel with his wife. Together, they traveled across Europe, South Africa, Australia and the United States.
