Anthony Iannazzo, 84, Of Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Anthony Peter Iannazzo, of Bridgeport, died Tuesday, Oct. 6 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He was 84.
Born in Norwalk, the son of Anthony and Louise (Pullia) Iannazzo, he served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was the owner and operator of a Pepperidge Farm Snack distributorship for more than 55 years.
He is survived by sons David Iannazzo and Jeffrey Iannazzo (Caren), and a daughter Debra Berkowitz (Peter); grandchildren; Cori Iannazzo, Amanda Fekete, Matthew Iannazzo, Kara Fekete and Hayley Berkowitz; a sister, Millie Iannazzo; and several nieces and nephews. He also i…

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Geraldine E. Fedak, of Yonkers, died Oct. 6. She was 82.
Fedak was born Nov. 21, 1932, in Stamford, to John W. Moore and Charlotte (Studwell) Moore. She was a graduate of Stamford High School and Saint Joseph's Nursing School.
Fedak was a nurse for 42 years, spending most of her early years at Yonkers Professional Hospital and completing her career in 1997 at Yonkers General Hospital.

Stamford-Based Podiatrist Pleads Guilty To Making False Medicare Claims
STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stamford podiatrist has pleaded guilty to submitting false Medicare claims, U.S. Attorney Deirdre M. Daly announced.
Amira Mantoura, 53, of Greenwich will pay $288,000 in a civil settlement as well.
Mantoura waived her right to indictment and pleaded guilty Tuesday, Oct. 6, in Hartford federal court to one count of making a false statement to the Medicare program, Daly said.
In the plea, Mantoura admitted that she submitted false claims to Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance companies.
