Melanie C. Punla, 56, Of Bergenfield BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Melanie C. Punla, of Bergenfield, died Tuesday, Sept. 22 at Englewood Hospital. She was 56. Punla was born in Pampanga, Philippines. She came to this country in 1990 and lived in Bergenfield for 25 years. She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church of Bergenfield. Punla worked in the billing department for American Compress Gases of Old Tappan. She is survived by her husband of 33 years Salvador P.
