Melanie C. Punla, 56, Of Bergenfield
BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Melanie C. Punla, of Bergenfield, died Tuesday, Sept. 22 at Englewood Hospital. She was 56.
Punla was born in Pampanga, Philippines. She came to this country in 1990 and lived in Bergenfield for 25 years.
She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church of Bergenfield.
Punla worked in the billing department for American Compress Gases of Old Tappan.

Nancy Sanders, 96, Ridgewood Principal and Teacher
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Nancy Sanders, of Ridgewood, died at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, N.J. Friday, Sept. 18. She was 96.
Sanders was born in Guglionesi, Italy, in 1918. She was the daughter of the late Luigi and Marietta Pollice and sister to the late Luigi Pollice Jr. She also leaves behind half siblings Antonietta, Antonio, Adamo and Nicola and was half-sister to the late Lucia Pollice. Sanders later was adopted by the late Joseph and Rose Sandersiero and was sister to the late Irene Sandersiero of Ridgewood.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Robert L., Walsh, of Fair Lawn, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015. He was 59.
Walsh was born and raised in Ridgewood. He resided in Fair Lawn the past 15 years.
He earned an associate's degree in accounting from Bergen County Community College in Paramus and also a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rutgers University in Newark.
Walsh served in the United States Marine Corps from 1974 to 1978.
He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church and a member of Knights of Columbus St. Ann’s Council 2853 in Fair Lawn.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Eva “Red” Sidney, of Fair Lawn, died Tuesday, Sept. 8. She was 97.
Sidney was born and raised in Paterson. She resided in Fair Lawn for 55 years.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, trips to Atlantic City and a good cup of tea.
Sidney was predeceased by her husband the late Joseph Sidney.
