An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Newark Rallies To Help Longtime Resident Get Back On His Feet Kenneth Pope has spent the last year and a half fighting for his health. The longtime Newark resident, who is affectionally known as Ken Love or Pope, has been dealing with health issues related to diabetes and issues with his kidneys since Dec. 2021. He has spent 28 years as a track supervisor for the MTA. Pope's health issues have forced him to have to relearn how to walk again. Café Displaying Pride Flag Vandalized Twice In Essex County Recent bias incidents in Essex County last week have caught the attention of authorities. Suspects twice smashed window at Harper's Café in West Orange on Wednesday, July 12 and Thursday, July 13, because they were flying a pride flag, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Essex County Girl With Neurological Disorder Sees Community Support Kayla Burrowes' life has been turned upside down as she battles the effects of Functional Neurological Disorder. The West Orange native's medical journey began when she contracted covid-19 and she soon began to have persistent dizziness, severe headaches and bouts of nausea and vomiting. Mahwah Rallies Around Longtime Sunoco Employee Injured In Crash Aaron Curry, who has worked at the Sunoco in Mahwah for 30 years, has had a rough time recently. Curry developed an illness, which led to him getting in a car crash last month and he has been hospitalized ever since.
