An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Threat Briefly Locks Down Bayonne High School A Hudson County high school had resumed normal operations as of 11:30 a.m., after a threat placed it briefly in lockdown. Bayonne High School received a "non-credible safety threat" on Monday, April 3, and went into lockdown "out of an abundance of caution," the Bayonne School District wrote on its Facebook page. Bayonne Police Department was assisting Bayonne Security with the investigation, the district said.

Pair Charged In Shooting Death Of Union County Man: Prosecutor Arrests have been made in the shooting death of 22-year-old Emmanuelle Florestal, which occurred last October, authorities in Union County said. Ahmad Conde, a 19-year-old Elizabeth resident, and Ducarmel Georges, a 19-year-old Brooklyn resident, have each been charged with first degree murder, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel said.
