Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Alec Baldwin Discharges Prop Gun, Killing Crew Member, Injuring Director On Movie Set A cinematographer was killed and a director injured after actor Alec Baldwin discharged a prop firearm on the set of a movie being produced in Santa Fe, New Mexico, authorities said. The incident happened just before 2 p.m. Pacific Time Thursday, Oct. 21, at a rank in the area, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office said. Salmonella Outbreak Now Linked To Onions, CDC Says Click here for a new, updated story: The CDC is alerting the public to a new salmonella outbreak. A salmonella outbreak with illnesses in 37 states has now been linked to onions, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced. ID Released For Person Struck, Killed By Van Near Long Island Intersection The identity has been released of a person who was killed after being struck by a vehicle near a Long Island intersection. The crash happened around 4:35 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11 in New Cassel. A 65-year-old man was operating a gray van westbound on Old Country Road near Hilton Street, when it struck the pedestrian in the roadway, Nassau County Police said. College Athlete From Hudson Valley Died After Choking During Charity Contest, Report Says A college student from the Hudson Valley who died over the weekend in Massachusetts choked during an eating contest for charity, according to a report. Rockland County resident Madie Nicpon, age 20, a 2019 graduate of Suffern High School, was a junior at Tufts University in Massachusetts. ID Released For Man Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle On Long Island Roadway The identity has been released of a man who was killed after being struck by a vehicle on a Long Island roadway. The incident happened around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19 in Sayville.
