Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Woman Killed In Wrong-Way Head-On I-95 Crash One person was killed in a wrong-way, head-on crash overnight on I-95. It happened around 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 17 in Fairfield County. A 2006 Dodge Ram was traveling in the center lane of three lanes on southbound I-95 just north of Exit 7 in Stamford., according to Connecticut State Police. A 2019 Toyota RAV4 was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided with the Ram in the center lane, according to state police. New Haven County resident Cynthia E. Man Dies After Being Struck By Jeep On Long Island Roadway Updated story: ID Released For Man Killed After Being Struck By Jeep On Long Island Roadway An investigation is underway after a fatal overnight crash on a Long Island roadway. It happened just before 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 in Old Brookville. A 36-year-old man was operating a 2014 Jeep southbound on Glen Cove Road when the vehicle struck the pedestrian, Nassau County Police said. Cases Climb Of Nationwide Salmonella Outbreak From Unknown Food Source Confirmed cases continue to climb of a multistate outbreak of salmonella infections across the nation. A total of 592 cases in 36 states have now been linked to the outbreak, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) said late this week. Long Island Man Charged With DWI After Fatal Hit-Run Crash A Long Island man has been charged with driving while intoxicated and fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian overnight. Woman Killed In Chain-Reaction Fairfield County Crash A woman was killed in a chain-reaction crash in Fairfield County. It happened just before 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15 on Route 8 in Bridgeport. The incident happened just before 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15 in Bay Shore. 24-Year-Old Fatally Stabbed On Residential Long Island Roadway An investigation is underway after a 24-year-old was fatally stabbed during a fight on a residential Long Island roadway.
