Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Shot, Killed In Front Of His Long Island Home A suspect is at large after a Long Island man was shot and killed in front of his home. It happened around 4:40 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23 in Wyandanch. The 20-year-old victim was shot during an altercation with another person while standing in front of the home, Suffolk County Police said. ID Released For Woman Killed After Being Struck By Car On Long Island Roadway The identity has been released of a woman who was killed in an overnight crash on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22 in Bellport. The woman was pushing a shopping cart and walking westbound in the roadway on Woodside Avenue, between Station Road and Curtis Avenue, when she was struck by a 2005 Hyundai traveling westbound, Suffolk County Police said. Tropical Storm Sunday: Henri Makes Landfall With a sustained wind strength of 60 miles per hour, Tropical Storm Henri made landfall early Sunday afternoon, Aug. 22. Landfall happened at around 12:45 p.m. Sunday in Westerly, Rhode Island, which is located on the southwestern shoreline of Washington County, about 12 miles east of Mystic Seaport, in New London County, Connecticut.
