Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

It happened around 9:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19 in Bellport. A 2000 Nissan Maxima merged onto westbound Sunrise Highway (Route 27) from the onramp at Horseblock Road and collided with a westbound 2017 Ford F-150, Suffolk County Police said. ID Released For 20-Year-Old Fatally Struck By Jeep On Suffolk County Highway The identity has been released of a 20-year-old who was fatally struck by a Jeep on a Long Island highway. The man was in the lanes of travel on eastbound Sunrise Highway (Route 27) in Sayville, east of exit 49, when he was struck by a 2006 Jeep Liberty at about 2:40 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, the Suffolk County Police said. The victim, now identified as Matthew Wenk, of Islip Terrace was pronounced dead at the scene.  The Farmingville man who was driving the Jeep, also age 20, was not injured in the crash, police said. Alyssa Amaya-Estrada was last seen at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16 in Hempstead, the Nassau County Police Department reported. She was reported missing to police at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17. She is described as being 5-foot-3, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
