Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

ID Released For Man Killed After Car Strikes Scooter On Busy Long Island Roadway The identity has been released of the driver of a scooter who was killed in a Long Island crash. The crash occurred around midnight Friday, July 16 in West Hempstead. A 31-year-old man was driving a 2021 Mazda westbound on Hempstead Turnpike in the area of Cherry Valley Road when he struck a Bird-battery operated scooter traveling eastbound on the Hempstead Turnpike, Nassau County Police said. Beloved Member Of Family-Run Jewelry Store In Area Dies A beloved member of a decades-old, family-run jeweler in the area has died. Fairfield County staple Craig's Jewelers, located on Main Street in Ridgefield, announced that Elsie Craig has died at the age of 94. "At this time we must inform you of the tragic loss of our beloved Miss Elsie," the store said in a statement. Long Island Woman Driving Drunk Crashes Into Cruiser, Police Say A woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing into a police cruiser on a busy Long Island roadway, authorities announced. The incident happened Friday, July 16, at approximately 10:25 p.m. in Patchogue. Two Long Island Mosquito Samples Test Positive For West Nile Virus Two mosquito samples have tested positive for the West Nile virus on Long Island.
