Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Covid-19: Unvaccinated Woman Dies After Contracting Two Strains At Same Time, Scientists Say Scientists are warning that it's possible to contract two COVID-19 strains at the same time after an unvaccinated woman died who had been infected by different variants. The woman, age 90, was admitted to a Belgium hospital to treat injuries from a fall and tested positive for COVID that day, according to a report by the European Congress on Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases. Missing Long Island Woman Found A Long Island woman who went missing has been found. Crystal Patino, age 39, had last been seen leaving Nassau University Medical Center on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, at approximately 10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 10, according to Nassau County Police. Police announced that she was located on Sunday afternoon, July 11. No further details were released.

Severe Storms With Drenching Downpours, Damaging Winds Will Sweep Through Area A new round of potentially severe thunderstorms is expected to sweep through the region amid an unsettled weather pattern. The time frame in which storm activity is expected on Monday, July 12 is from the early afternoon to the late evening. Strong wind gusts and flash flooding are the main threats, the National Weather Service said in a Hazardous Weather Statement issued Monday morning. Body Found On Side Of Long Island Road Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body on the side of a Long Island road. A person walking by discovered the body in Middle Island on Whiskey Road, near Creekside Drive on Sunday, July 11 at approximately 7:30 a.m., Suffolk County Police said. The body was taken to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and identity of the person. Long Island Man Suffering Chest Pains Attacks Responding Officers, Medic, Police Say A man who was reportedly suffering chest pains and having difficulty breathing became combative with responding officers and a medic overnight at a Long Island home, according to police. Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Dispute Nearly Turns Deadly On Long Island A Long Island man has been apprehended after a dispute nearly turned deadly.
