Man Sexually Assaults Woman, 63, In Jersey City Business: Prosecutor
Authorities have arrested an 18-year-old man in the sexual assault of a 63-year-old woman inside of a Jersey City business. Elijah Lloyd, a city resident, is believed to have robbed and sexually assaulted the woman Wednesday, May 10 when she entered a business on West Side Avenue around 8:25 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Police in Loudoun County are on the lookout for a man who they say stole an Amazon delivery van. The unidentified man hopped in the driver's seat of the vehicle on May 6, riding off from the parking lot at 45077 Flight Crew Drive in Sterling, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. VCU Student Killed By Car, 26, Was Facing Bright Future In Politics
A Virginia Commonwealth University student who made history as one of the youngest interns in one governor's administration was fatally struck by a car earlier this month at 26 years old. Shawn Soares, who had been working as the clean energy and climate justice policy manager at the Virginia Conservation Network, died on May 4, when a driver who had been involved in a crash drove up onto the sidewalk and truck him in Richmond, according to WTVR6. The Federal Aviation Administration and officials in Gloucester County are investigating a fatal skydiving accident. Timothy Joseph Slachta, 48, of Garnet Valley, died Wednesday, May 10 while jumping over Monroe Township, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer and 6abc.
