Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Supreme Court Allows Grand Jury Probe In Loudoun County School Sexual Assaults The Supreme Court of Virginia has rejected an attempt by the Loudoun County School Board to shut down a Grand Jury investigation connected to the handling of two sexual assaults, confirms officials. Officer Attacked At Northern Virginia Mental Health Facility A Manassas man has been charged after assaulting a Law Enforcement Officer at a Virginia mental health facility, authorities say. Vincent Alexander York, 23, was in police custody at the Northern Virginia Mental Health facility when he aggressively approached an officer after refusing to follow the officer's commands around 1 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31, according to Prince William County police. Shots Fired At Woodbridge Home In Drive-By Shooting Police are investigating the drive-by shooting of a home in Woodbridge, authorities say. Officers were called to the home in the 13700 block of Kaywood Drive after residents said shots were fired at them while they were outside of the house, according to Prince William County police. The suspect reportedly shot at the residents and home around 10:44 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 1, officials say. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a silver four-door sedan. No injuries were reported in the shooting. Police are still searching for a suspect in the incident.

Virginia Woman Who Refused Abortion Found Murdered, Boyfriend Charged: Report A Virginia Naval officer is being held in custody after the murder of his pregnant girlfriend who allegedly refused to get an abortion, reports the Associated Press.
