Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Shotgun-Wielding Suspect, Two Others At Large After Armed Carjacking In Maryland: Sheriff Multiple suspects are on the run after an armed carjacking in Pasadena, authorities say. Officers responded to reports of the carjacking in the 3400 block of Old Crown Road around 3:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, according to Anne Arundel County police. The victims stated that they were parked in the area of Croydon Way and Middleton Way Road when a vehicle pulled up and blocked their avenue to escape. Alert Issued For 12-Year-Old Girl Reported Missing In Maryland For Days Police are asking for the public's help finding a missing girl from Baltimore, authorities say. Amiyah McKiver, 12, was last seen on Tuesday, Aug. 9 in the 800 block of Stoll Street, according to Baltimore police. McKiver is described as 5 feet tall and weighs around 140 pounds. It is unknown what she was last wearing. If you have seen Amiyah McKiver or know her whereabouts, please call the police in Baltimore immediately at (410) 396-2012 or 911.

Gas Station Employee, 37, Fatally Stabbed Outside Business In Maryland Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that took the life of a Mt. Rainer man, authorities say. Isreal Akingbesote, 37, was stabbed at his job in the 9000 block of Woodyard Road around 4:40 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10, according to Prince George's County police. Officers arrived to the scene and discovered Akingbesote suffering from multiple stab wounds, they said. Akingbesote was rushed to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Prince George's County Home Struck By Lightning Catches Fire A home in Accokeek caught fire after being struck by lightning, authorities say. Crews were dispatched to battle a fire reported at the home in the 14400 block of Saint Gregory Way shortly before 5 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10, according to Prince George's County fire. Upon arrival, crews noticed smoke and flames coming from the attic and roof of the two-story home, believed to be caused by a lightning strike. The residents of the home were able to self-evacuate. No injuries were initially reported.

Funeral Arrangements Set For Teen Reportedly Shot Over Gatorade Bottle In West Baltimore The family of the teenage girl that was killed by a 9-year-old boy who the state says is too young to charge, said their daughter was killed over a bottle of Gatorade, reports the New York Post. As previously reported by Daily Voice, NyKayla Strawder, 15, was shot in the head by the boy on her front porch in the 600 block of Linnard Street, Saturday, Aug. 6. Fleeing Suspect Busted With PCP, Crack-Cocaine, Stolen Handgun After Maryland Crash: Police A fleeing suspect was captured by police in Davidsonville with a stolen handgun and large amount of drugs, authorities say. Travis Moore, 40, was arrested after fleeing the scene following a vehicle crash in the area of Central Avenue and Patuxent River Road around 11 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10, according to Baltimore police. Suspect Apprehended For Summer Murder In Maryland: Police A man has been arrested in connection to the murder of a 37-year-old man back in June, detectives say. Dana Davenport, 28, is accused of shooting and killing Tyrone Walker in the 200 block of South Loudon Avenue around 8:30 p.m., Sunday, June 5, according to Baltimore police. Police have announced on Thursday, Aug. 11 that Davenport was arrested on Thursday, August 4, in the 1300 block of West North Avenue. Davenport has been charged with first-degree murder.

Alert Launched For Missing Baltimore County Teen Police are on the lookout for a missing 15-year-old girl from Baltimore County, authorities say. Makiyah Greene, 15, was announced as missing from the Woodlawn area around 9 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, according to Baltimore police. Greene is described as 5 foot 7, weighing 120 pounds. Firefighter, Resident Injured In Upper Marlboro House Fire Two are injured after a house fire in Upper Marlboro, authorities say. Officials were dispatched to the two-story home in the 3400 block of Village Drive North around 2:30 p.m. after reports of a fire, according to Prince George's County Fire. Once on the scene, crews found smoke coming from the basement. New Details Emerge, Reward Offered For Information On Armed Kidnapping In DC New details have emerged in connection to an armed kidnapping allegedly involving a DC man late last month, authorities say. The suspect, who has been identified as Marquez Parker, 44, allegedly forced a woman into a vehicle at gunpoint around 3:40 a.m., Wednesday, July 27, according to Metropolitan police.
