Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

One Dead, Four Injured In Maryland Crash: Reports A woman has died after a fatal single-vehicle collision in Prince George's County, authorities say. The vehicle struck a tree shortly before 6 p.m., Sunday, July 17, near the intersection of Kettering Drive and Kettering Place, according to Prince George's police. A female passenger in the vehicle was rushed to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.  The four other occupants were taken to a hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is unknown. Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision.

Carlos Ivan Diaz-Franco, 31, was thrown from his motorcycle after the collision on the ICC between Georgia Avenue and Shady Grove Road around 7:30, Thursday, July 14, say Montgomery County police. Additional Lanes To Open On Maryland Highway In $127M Improvement Project The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT) is continuing to make progress on a $127 million widening and improvement project, officials say. The project will improve MD 32 between Linden Church Road and I-70 in Howard County, according to MDOT. Bethesda Boy Pleads Guilty To First Degree Murder A Bethesda teenager has pleaded guilty to a first-degree murder charge in connection to a December homicide, authorities say. Joshua Wright, 17, pleaded guilty on Friday, July 15 after being charged for the Dec. 19, 2021 death of Lawrence Wilson Jr., Montgomery County officials announced. Wright faces a maximum of 40 years in prison and is scheduled for a sentencing hearing on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
