Man Who Shot 13-Year-Old Dorchester Boy Through The Eye Arrested: Police Police said they arrested a 21-year-old man on Wednesday, Aug. 24., in connection with a shooting that left a 13-year-old with a bullet hole in his eye, police said.  Jashone Bullock, of Dorchester, faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a child under 14 and several gun offenses, Boston police said.  Officers said they received a Shot Spotter radio call in the area on Sunday around 8:45 p.m. in Mattapan. Suffolk County Woman Has State's First Case Of West Nile Virus This Year An elderly Suffolk County woman has contracted Massachusetts' first case of the West Nile Virus, state health officials announced on Thursday, Aug. 25.  The one upside of the drought this year has been the smaller-than-normal population of mosquitos, which transmit the virus. So, the risk has been lower than usual, but health officials said this new case is a reminder that the threat isn't eliminated.  Anyone can contract West Nile virus, but people over 50 are at the highest risk for severe disease. 37-Year-Old Woman Killed In Stoughton Rollover Wreck: Police A 37-year-old woman died Wednesday night, Aug. 24, after she wrecked her car on Route 24 in Stoughton, authorities said.  Suzete Mendes, of Hyannis, was driving in the northbound lanes around 8:30 when her 2015 Infiniti Q40 went off the right side of the road, hit the guardrail, and rolled over, Massachusetts State Police said. Paramedics rushed her to Good Samaritan Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.  No one else was injured.  Police are investigating what caused Mendez to drive off the road and crash.
