Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Crash Shuts Route 80 In Morris County (Developing) A serious crash closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Morris County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. near Exit 39 (Route 53) in Denville Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Michael Wojcik, 32, and Ayanna Gonzalez are wanted for questioning about the shooting that occurred on Feb. 15, according to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé. The shooting, captured on surveillance video, occurred at approximately 4 p.m. in the 600 block of Mt. Prospect Avenue. Crack Cocaine Recovered In Atlantic City Sting A surveillance operation resulted in the arrest of an Atlantic City man and the recovery of crack cocaine, authorities said. Officer Nickolas Cardani was conducting surveillance on Saturday, Feb. 25 in the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue when he observed two males engage in a suspected drug transaction, Atlantic City police said. Man Critically Injured In Daytime Shooting In Central Jersey A man was critically injured in a daylight shooting in New Brunswick, authorities said. The contractors, Randolph Fuson and Charles Baldwin of IEW, were performing maintenance on Tunney Bridge when they noticed an overturned kayak and looked to see if anyone was near, Toms River police said.
