Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Additional ladder trucks were requested from fire departments in Camden and Atlantic counties, reports said. Just after noon on Friday, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit observed an aggressive driver on Beaverson Boulevard cutting other drivers off, Brick police said. Shooting Investigated In South Jersey Authorities are investigating a shooting in South Jersey. The shooting occurred before 9:45 p.m. Tuesday on Burns Road in Millville,  according to Millville police. The victim, who reportedly was shot in the stomach, was airlifted to an area hospital, initial reports said. Millville police referred questions to the state Attorney General's Office. The Attorney General later confirmed it was an officer-involved shooting and that the victim was pronounced dead at Cooper University Hospital at 10:56 p.m.

Fatal Crash Involving Garbage Truck Reported In Central Jersey: Developing A 59-year-old motorist was killed in a collision with a garbage truck, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The crash occurred about 5:35 a.m. Tuesday on Route 34 at Spring Hill Road in Old Bridge, initial reports said. The unidentified driver of the car reportedly crossed in front of the garbage truck as she exited a pharmacy, police said. Falls Sr. of Upper Darby in Delaware County was driving north on Route 55 at milepost 41.2 in Franklin Township, Gloucester County, at 7:18 a.m. Sunday when his Chevy ran off the road, according to New Jersey State Police. The Chevy went up an embankment and struck a tree, Sgt. Alejandro Goez said. Falls was pronounced dead at the crash scene, he said.
