NJ School Sending Students Home Early Due To Staffing Shortage: Report One school in New Jersey is sending its students home early several times over the next few months due to staffing shortages, NJ.com reports. The Riverdale Public School has added a new early dismissal day for each month through March, according to the outlet, which cites district officials. Students were sent home at 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, the first of the four days, as the school amps up its efforts to hire substitute teachers and teachers’ aides, the report says. Sussex County Mom Seeks Info After Hit-Run Crash Puts Traffic Light Through Daughter’s Car A Sussex County mother is desperately attempting to track down the driver who hit her 17-year-old daughter’s car and fled the scene Thursday night. Police Seek ID For Driver In Deadly Sussex County Pedestrian Crash Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a car they say may have been involved in a deadly pedestrian crash in Sussex County. The crash occurred near the Sunoco Gas Station on Route 23 South in Hamburg just before 6:15 a.m. on Nov. 29, Hamburg Police Lt. Jason Tangorra told Daily Voice. The vehicle is believed to be a white Hyundai Tucson or something similar, Tangorra said. Beloved Warren County Native Allen Burd Dies Suddenly At 35 Beloved Warren County native Allen R. Burd died suddenly on Nov. 17 at the age of 35. Burd graduated from Warren Hills High School in 2005, his obituary says. Man Charged In OD Death Of Northampton County Prisoner: Report A man has been charged in connection with the deadly overdose of a Northampton County prisoner, WFMZ reports. William Simcox Jr., 56, of Montgomery County, allegedly provided fentanyl and a veterinary sedative to several inmates, the report says citing the DA's office.
