Popular Morris County Gardening Center Sets Final Closing Date A popular family-owned gardening store will soon close the doors to its retail center after 47 years in Morris County. Gro-Rite Garden Center on Hillview Road in Lincoln Park made the announcement on its Facebook page Thursday, stating that the brand is shifting to focus on its wholesale agriculture division. The store’s last day open will be Jan. 15, 2022. “We thank all our customers for all your loyal business over the years,” reads the post. Smoking Caused Flemington Apartment Fire That Left Resident With Critical Burns, Police Say The Flemington apartment fire that left a resident with critical burns and seriously damaged the building last month was caused by smoking, officials said. Bomb Squad Called After ‘Suspicious Item’ Found At Northampton County Park Bomb squads and first responders rushed to a Northampton County park to investigate a “suspicious item” that was found on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said. The item was found at Bangor Memorial Park shortly after 1 p.m., according to Mayor Brooke Kerzner. Beloved Sussex County Addiction Recovery Advocate Connor Bubigkeit Dies After Own Battle At 30 Beloved Sussex County native and addiction recovery advocate Connor Matthew Bubigkeit died following his own long battle on Dec. 2 at the age of 30. Born in Port Jervis, NY, Bubigkeit lived in Montague before settling in Andover Township last year, his obituary says. Bubigkeit graduated from Port Jervis High School in 2010 and went on to attend Penn State University, his memorial says.
