Warren County Middle School Enters Lockdown As 'Agitated' Student With Weapon Flees Premises
A Warren County middle school was placed under lockdown Tuesday morning after a student was found with a weapon and fled the building, authorities said. Administrators at the Washington Township Middle School received a report of an agitated and potentially armed student riding the bus around 7:25 a.m., police Chief Thomas Cicerele said in a release alongside Warren Hills Regional School District Superintendent Earl C. Police in Bethlehem are seeking the public’s help identifying a man caught on surveillance footage burglarizing several vehicles before dawn Monday. The man entered numerous unlocked vehicles near Santee Road east through Harvard Place, Bethlehem Township police said on Facebook. “Almost every vehicle he entered, he stole something from,” police said. An attempted child luring in Morris County Friday morning turned out to be a case of mistaken identity, the school district concluded. The possible luring was initially reported near Cheri Lane and Bridle Lane in Mount Olive around 8:05 a.m., officials said in a post on the district’s Facebook page. A teen from Central Jersey was reported missing Thursday night. Paris Laster, 16, was last seen leaving her home in Holmdel without her parents’ permission on Wednesday, township police said. Laster is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs approximately 100 pounds and has dark hair, police said.
