Northampton County native and Bethlehem technical school graduate Jake L. Fink died unexpectedly at his home on August 21. He was 27. Fink graduated from Freedom High School and Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School before attending Northampton Community College, his obituary says. A 49-year-old pickup truck driver from Virginia was found with nearly a pound and a half of cocaine after being stopped on Route 78 in Northampton County for a traffic violation Tuesday, reports say. Aggravated Assault Suspect Nabbed During Hurricane Ida Floodwater Rescue In Hunterdon County
A man wanted for aggravated assault and fraud was taken into custody after police in Hunterdon County rescued him from Hurricane Ida floodwaters Thursday. Fokam Parfait climbed onto the hood of his vehicle as it became submerged in the floodwaters on Lamington Road in Tewksbury, township police said. Parfait then climbed into the pickup bed of a patrol vehicle that arrived to rescue him, police said. A school bus collided with another vehicle at a Morris County intersection Thursday morning, authorities said. The crash involved a Dover school bus and occurred at the intersection of Central Avenue and Pequannock Street, according to the district’s official Twitter page.
