Yorktown Man Deposited Forged Disability Checks, Police Say YORKTOWN, N.Y. --  A 32-year-old Yorktown resident was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class D felony, for allegedly depositing two disability checks. A Yorktown woman appeared at police headquarters on Tuesday to report two of her disability checks were forged and deposited into her account without her permission, police said Police investigated and determined Jesse Suggs forged the checks and he turned himself into police on Thursday. IBM Eyes Expansion Of Parking Lot In North Castle ARMONK, N.Y. -- IBM is looking to add more parking at its Armonk headquarters. IBM recently met with the North Castle Planning Board to obtain site plan approval to add 442 additional parking spaces, which would increase the number of parking spaces from 1,223 to 1,665. According to IBM's proposal, 412 parking spaces will be located on the south side of the building and 30 spaces will be provided at the building entry roadway. The Church of the Immaculate Conception and the chapel of Saint Joseph are both being "deconsecrated,"- meaning they will be transferred from sacred use to secular use. The village approved a settlement with Save The Sound at Monday's village board meeting to stop the leaking of sewage into the Long Island Sound. The county took over the bus routes of the City of Poughkeepsie in July.
