Mahopac Student Awarded National Merit Scholarship MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Thomas Scanlon is a National Merit Scholar. Scanlon, a senior at Mahopac High School, was announced Wednesday as one of the winners of a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship, selected as one of 2,500 students nationwide. Scanlon hopes to work in economics.
