A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Hen Hud Concert Benefits Breast Cancer Foundation MONTROSE, N.Y. -- Cindy Alexander will perform an acoustic concert at Hendrick Hudson High School next Thursday to promote cancer awareness and support the Breast Cancer Foundation.  The concert will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium, and the suggested donation is $10 to $20. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the foundation. Alexander has performed on stage with Suzanne Vega, America, Rick Springfield, Marc Cohn and The Bacon Brothers. Alexander’s music has earned her Los Angeles Music Awards for Songwriter of the Year and Independent Pop Album of the Year.

The town's first dog park, at Abendroth Park, celebrated its one year anniversary. The day featured a proclamation from the village and 13 vendors including two rescue groups. Children's Room Dedicated To Longtime Kent Volunteer KENT, N.Y. -- Friends and family of Wilma Baker gathered at the Kent Public Library on Sept. 10 to dedicate the library's children's room to her memory.  Baker helped found the Kent Literary Association, which  later became the Kent Public Library. She was also a co-founder of the Kent Recycling center.   A party on Sept. 11 at the Kent Cliffs Fire House celebrated the anniversary of the Kent Recycling center and raised money for books and other materials for the new Wilma M. Baker Children's Room.

Woody Allen's new TV show, "Crisis In Six Scenes," that he filmed earlier this year in Briarcliff is premiering on Amazon Prime Friday. The seniors visited the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the Ossining Fire Department, and the Ossining Police Department. Valhalla Swimmer Qualifies For State Swimming Championships VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Isabella Fountain, a Valhalla High School freshman qualified for the New York State swimming championship last week. Fountain qualified in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24:83 seconds. She earned her spot to compete at states on Sept. 22 when competing against Bronxville and Tuckahoe high schools. The state swimming championships will take place in Ithaca on Nov. 18 and 19, featuring some of the best high school swimmers from around New York.
