An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Dutchess Voters Head To The Polls For Village Elections Villages will be contesting elections throughout Dutchess County on Tuesday, with a mayoral race in Rhinebeck topping the slate. Incumbent Mayor Heath Tortarella is being challenged by Trustee Gary Basset. Tortarella was appointed mayor in Feb. 2015 and was his elected to his first term in March 2015. Obituary: Joseph Russo, 85, Of Cortlandt Manor CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. -- Joseph Russo, of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on March 12, 2017, he was 85 years old.  Russo was born on March 23, 1931 and was married to Mary Ann (Pugliese) on November 3, 1956. He is predeceased by his wife Mary Ann, and is survived by his son Steven, daughter Linda, daughter in law Carol and three grandchildren Julian DeBerry, Kerry and Jessica Russo.  A mass of Christian burial will be held on, Monday, April 3 at 10 am at Holy Spirit Church in Peekskill. Internment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
