A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Show Filmed In Westchester With Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Martin Premieres PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Jerry Seinfeld and Steve Martin's lunch at the Pleasantville Diner is now online for the world to see. Martin's appearance on Seinfeld's show, "Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee," premiered here Wednesday night.  The episode was filmed in Pleasantville last September. On the show, the duo crosses the Tappan Zee Bridge from Rockland to Westchester County. Seinfeld cracks jokes about its construction and Martin notes its impact on suicide rates. Their car breaks down on the Saw Mill River Parkway before they arrive in Pleasantville to have lunch at the diner. …

Stray Kayak Spurs Concern Amid New Bridge Construction TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Westchester County Police are investigating after construction crews at the New Tappan Zee Bridge spotted a stray kayak in the Hudson River Thursday morning. Kieran O'Leary of the Westchester County Police said they are determining whether someone was out in the river or a kayak simply became unmoored. "We don't have reports from anybody saying that someone went kayaking," O'Leary said. "We are searching but no one has reported a missing person. Westchester Resident Celebrates His 106th Birthday TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Gunter Lorenz, an Ossining resident, was all smiles Wednesday morning as he celebrated his 106th birthday. A party was thrown for him at the JCC On The Hudson Men's Club in Tarrytown where people wished him happy birthday and birthday cake was served. "I feel I am a lucky guy," Lorenz said. Lorenz was born in Poland in 1910 and moved to New York on June 17, 1940 . He worked as a camera lens specialist and later went into medicine, where he had a practice in the Bronx. Lorenz moved to Scarborough Manor in Ossining in 1977 when he took a job at the Montrose VA.  …

Man Charged With Stealing Tip Meant For North Castle Sanitation Department ARMONK, N.Y. -- Robert L. Fay, a 46-year-old Brewster resident, was arrested and charged in Armonk for allegedly stealing money meant for the North Castle Sanitation Department. Police said they received a report from a resident that someone had stolen cash from their property on Thursday, Dec. 24. The resident reported they had left cash in an envelope that was attached to their garbage cans as a holiday tip for sanitation workers, police said.
