A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Byram Hills School District Budget Passes ARMONK, N.Y. -- Voters in the Byram Hills School District approved the district's 2015-2016 budget Tuesday. Voters approved the $88.7 budget 577 votes to 122 votes. Michael Sanders and Scott Levy ran unopposed for seats on the Board of Education. The budget increases spending 1.1 percent with a tax levy increase of 1.8 percent. North Castle residents will see a 1.5 percent tax increase, New Castle residents will see a 3.6 percent increase, Bedford residents will see a 12.4 percent increase and Mount Pleasant residents will see a 1.3 percent increase.

The $22.88 million budget was approved by voters 667 votes to 259 votes. The budget carries a 2.2 percent spending increase, a 2.7 percent tax levy increase and a 2.7 percent tax increase. Peekskill School District Budget Approved PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The Peekskill City School District's 2015-2016 budget was approved Tuesday. Voters approved the $81.9 million budget 582 votes to 320 votes. Incumbents Colin Smith and Lisa Aspinall-Kellawon were re-elected to the Board of Education with 550 votes and 505 votes, respectively. Ramon Fernandez finished in third place with 371 votes. The budget had a 2.62 percent increase on the tax levy. Voters also approved a change to transportation eligibility 582 votes to 320 votes.

Putnam Valley School District Budget Passes PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- Voters in Putnam Valley approved the school district's 2015-2016 budget on Tuesday. The $47.9 million budget was approved 742 votes to 167 votes. The budget carries a .4 percent spending decrease and a .5 percent tax levy increase. Guy Cohen and David Spitall were re-elected to the Board of Education with 679 and 662 votes, respectively. Daniel Vera came in third with 277 votes.

Tarrytown School District Budget Passes TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Voters approved the Tarrytown School District's 2015-2016 budget Tuesday. Voters approved the $55.2 million budget 430 votes to 139 votes. The budget carries a 1.9 percent spending increase and a .9 increase on the tax levy. Sleepy Hollow residents will see a 2.2 percent tax decrease while Tarrytown residents will see a 3.7 percent tax increase. Incumbents Mimi Godwin and B. Joseph Lillis, along with James Husselbee ran unopposed for seats on the Board of Education.

Ossining School District Budget Passes OSSINING, N.Y. -- Voters in the Ossining School District approved the 2015-2016 budget Tuesday. The budget passed 1,106 votes to 405 votes. Felix Flores and Maria Fernandez-Williams ran unopposed for two seats on the Board of Education. Ossining's $117.2 million budget increases spending 2.3 percent and increases the tax levy 2.9 percent. Voters in Ossining will see a 3 percent tax increase, voters in New Castle will see a 1 percent tax decrease and voters in Yorktown will see a 7.5 percent tax increase. The Ossining library budget was approved 1,090 votes to 385 votes.

Briarcliff School District Budget Passes BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N,Y. -- Voters in Briarcliff approved the district's 2015-2016 budget Tuesday. Voters approved the $50 million budget 500 votes to 140 votes. The budget was a 1.34 percent increase from 2014-2015 and carries a .93 percent tax increase. Michael Haberman was elected to another term on the Board of Education while Jan Fisher won a write-in campaign with 210 votes. Greg Dow came in third with 207 votes.

Pleasantville School District Budget Passes PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Voters in Pleasantville approved the district's 2015-2016 budget Tuesday. Voters voted to approve the budget, 584 votes to 231 votes.  The $48.9 million budget carried a 1.8 percent tax levy increase and a 1.3 percent tax rate increase. Incumbents Lawrence Boes and Emily Rubin Persons ran unopposed for another term on the Board of Education.
