Somers Family Mourns Deceased Father of 12 SOMERS, N.Y. -- Somers resident Frank Katz is being remembered by his family as a loving father of 12 children. Katz was found dead Nov. 11 while walking from his home to the Goldens Bridge train station when he collapsed on Route 100 at 6:45 a.m. Katz worked in Manhattan as a pension actuary at Savasta and Co. Thanks to a $25,000 donation from The Engel Burman Group, the company behind the 140-unit Bristal Assisted Living complex on Business Park Drive, Armonk's iconic eagle will be completely refurbished. Ossining Boat & Canoe Club Unlocked For Repairs OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Town of Ossining has allowed the Ossining Boat & Canoe Club (OBCC) to be open for repairs. The club was locked on Oct. 31 after town officials cited more than 20 violations in the town-owned building on the Hudson River at Engel Park. It was unlocked by the town on Saturday, Nov. 9.
