Former Westchester HS Football Player, 20, Found Dead HARRISON, N.Y. -- John DeFonce, a former football player at Harrison High School, has died, according to a report by lohud.com. DeFonce, who had been addicted to heroin as a result of taking prescription painkillers, was found dead Sunday at his parents' home, lohud reported. The 20-year-old DeFonco had recently finished a program at St. Christopher's Inn in Garrison and was living in a White Plains halfway house, according to lohud. To read the full report, click here.

Grand Jury Clears Beacon Police Officer In Fatal Shooting BEACON, N.Y. -- A Dutchess County grand jury has cleared a Beacon police officer in the fatal shooting of a Connecticut resident in May, according to a report in the Poughkeepsie Journal. The panel concluded Sgt. Robert Sellick was justified in his actions, which occurred on Interstate 84, the Journal reported.  Michael G.
