Norwalk Police Welcome Three New Officers NORWALK, Conn. -- Three new Norwalk police officers graduated Sept. 15 from the 349th Police Officers Standards and Training Academy in Meriden. Officers Jake Colletto, Konstantine Arvanitakis and Jose Silva completed 26 weeks of academic and physical training.  All three will now begin a 10-week field training program in Norwalk, where they will be on patrol with a field training officer.

North Salem Man Faces Dwai Charge NORTH SALEM, N.Y – New York State Police from the Stormville barracks arrested 36-year-old James E. Penny, of North Salem on Monday on a charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. Troopers stopped Penny on Beekman Road for speeding and failure to maintain his lane of travel. Troopers interviewed Penny and observed clues that indicated he was impaired at the time of the stop. A drug recognition expert was used to confirm that Penny was impaired.
