Martha Lillian McCandless, 80, Former Briarcliff Resident BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Martha Lillian McCandless (“Marty”), formerly of Briarcliff Manor, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, in Bridgeport, Conn. She was 80.  McCandless was born March 20, 1935, to Rudolph Bohn and Alice (Loland) Bohn in Brooklyn. She graduated from Sewanhaka Central High School in Floral Park, N.Y. She and Roy McCandless married on June 25, 1955, and moved to Briarcliff Manor, where Roy graduated from The King’s College and where he worked and Marty lived, worked, volunteered and raised their family for over 38 years. She served as “Miss Marty,” running the Tiny Tots program at t…
