Ex-Yonkers Police Officer Gets Jail Time In Perjury Case
YONKERS, N.Y. -- Former Yonkers police officer Christian Koch was sentenced Thursday to eight weekends in the Westchester County Jail after pleading guilty to one count of perjury in a case where a man fell to his death during a drug raid, according to Westchester District Attorney Janet DiFiore. Christian Koch, 40, of 104 S. Broadway, Yonkers, pleaded guilty April 23 to one count of second-degree perjury, a class E felony, the District Attorney's Office said.

Woman's Club Of White Plains Fundraiser Benefits El Centro Hispano
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Woman’s Club of White Plains Foundation will hold its annual fall fundraiser, Corks & Forks, on Friday, Sept. 18, at the CV Rich Mansion in White Plains. The event features tastings of signature dishes from many local restaurants as well as wines and beer from area merchants. This year’s specialties will range from appetizers to main courses to desserts and will feature a wide range of cuisines, including American, Asian, Indian and Portuguese.
