Police Charge Mohegan Lake Man With Illegal Dumping YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Mohegan Lake man has been charged with dumping leaves on a Yorktown resident's property last year, a town code violation. Police received a call about 3 a.m., Oct. 20, 2014, reporting a person dumping leaves on Stony Street. Yorktown Teenage Girl Charged In Theft From Kmart YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have charged an 18-year-old female with petty larceny in the theft of merchandise from a Kmart store. The suspect's name is being withheld because she may be eligible for youthful offender status.  Police responded to a report of a theft at Kmart, 355 Downing Drive, on Sept. 2.
