"How to Bury a Saint" is a contemporary fictional “dramedy” set in Mahopac that tells the story of three generations of the Colasuanno family, Italian-Americans with roots in Calabria. Elmsford Candidate Withdraws From Board Of Education Race ELMSFORD, N.Y. -- Duane Christian withdrew his candidacy for trustee of the Elmsford Union Free School District Board of Education on Monday.As official ballots have been printed, Christian’s name will appear on the ballot; however, he is no longer a candidate for trustee. The two candidates for two open seats are Ted Thomasa and Marla Peers. The 2016-17 budget and Board of Education election will take place Tuesday at Alice E. Grady Elementary School. This year's proposed budget supports 100 percent of the school district's student programming and is within the tax cap.

Ossining School District Tests Water For Lead OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Ossining school district has hired Quality Environmental Solutions and Technologies Inc. to test the water in the schools for lead. The firm will test drinking water locations, including water foundations and sinks in classrooms, kitchens, faculty rooms and various offices. The testing will occur in each school during the weekend of May 14.  After the water samples are collected, the district will provide a report with the results.
