Man, 22, Arrested On Multiple Warrants In Yorktown YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown Police arrested a 22-year-old Florida resident on two warrants, one for petit larceny and one for bail jumping along with a bench warrant for failure to appear, according to Yorktown Police. Robert D. Reichert was discovered standing on the steps of Police Headquarters and was taken into custody on May 6, shortly after 3 p.m. His bail was set at $250,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, May 12, at 6 p.m.

Volunteers Help Clean Waterways In Dutchess POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Volunteers in Dutchess County found all types of garbage while cleaning the banks of local waterways on Saturday, May 7, as part of the fifth Riverkeeper Sweep Initiative in New York, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. There were 11 different locations in Dutchess along the Hudson and its off shoots that were cleaned with volunteers of all ages pitching in.  Overall more than 100 such gatherings happened from Brooklyn to the Albany area with more than 2,000 volunteers, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal. Ramapo Police Respond To Burglary In Progress RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo Police responded to a burglary in progress at a home in New Hempstead on Sunday. The homeowner saw someone enter the residence through a window and the suspect realized the house was occupied and fled the scene ahead of police arrival.
