Somers School District Announces Writing, Art Award Winners SOMERS, N.Y. -- The 2016 Somers Central School District Scholastic Art and Writing Awards winners have been announced.  A jury made up of professional novelists, editors, teachers, poets, librarians, journalists and other professionals judged these works and selected the winners from over 1880 works submitted. Seven of the 158 students given a gold key, the highest level, were from Somers Central School District and 40 separate works from Somers were honored. Record Crowd Attends Greenwich Chamber's First Networking Event Of Year GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce recently held its first networking event of the year at Citarella. The crowd of more than 200 people was a record for attendance. Tasting and carving stations of cheese, international wines, artisanal pizza, sushi, poached salmon, lasagna, fresh squeezed juice, handmade mozzarella and fine desserts attracted Chamber members and guests at the event on Thursday, Jan. 27.  All attendees were eligible to win prizes including tickets to Greenwich Symphony and monogrammed tote bags.
