New Rochelle HS Irish Club Raises Funds For Cystic Fibrosis Fight NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The New Rochelle High School Irish Club recently conducted its second annual fundraiser for cystic fibrosis research. The club's concert, featuring the Irish group the Wolfe Tones, raised more than $1,100 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The NRHS German Club also added to the group's fundraising total.  The Irish Club was led this year by student co-presidents Haley Fullerton, Anya DiSalvo and William Roberts. Irish Club adviser is Kevin McIvor and German Club adviser is Ana Ferreira.

Poughkeepsie Man Accused Of Shooting Woman In Kingston POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Raymond Moore Jr. of Poughkeepsie stands accused of shooting a woman in the head at an apartment in Kingston, according to Time Warner Cable News. Police found a 23-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the head when they arrived Saturday, and she was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, reported TWC News.  An investigation led Moore, who has been charged with assault and possession of a weapon and is being held at Ulster County Jail without bail, according to Time Warner Cable News.
