New Rochelle's North Avenue Mile Registration Deadline Nears NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- There's still time to register for the North Avenue Mile, which takes place Sunday starting at 9 a.m.  Online registration closes at midnight Friday. Race day registration will take place from 7:30-8:30 a.m. The first wave of runners will start at 9 a.m.; the second will leave at 9:20 a.m. and in 15-minute intervals thereafter.  The race is an electronically timed USA Track & Field-certified mile course.
